Our engineers’ Wives Club called the annual progressive supper "Dinner at Mount Vernon" to honor one of our most famous engineers, George Washington. At four different homes we had Hors d'Oeuvres Americana, Delaware Punch, Liberty Salad, Martha's Roast, à la Patriote, Washington Peas, Early American Biscuits and cherry delicacies. Our husbands did the carving.
